Pipelines and modules

Why a pipeline is a module, how the six templates work, and what a stage of your own is.

Updated

Here a pipeline is a module: it owns its stages, its custom fields and its vocabulary. A recruitment module has candidates and salary expectations, and those never appear on sales deals.

A new module

  1. 1Settings → Pipelines → New. Pick a template: sales, recruitment, project, support, property or blank.
  2. 2Rename the stages and give each a probability — the weighted forecast uses it.
  3. 3Mark which stage is won and which is lost; automations and reports react to those.
  4. 4Add fields of its own if you need them (see the article on custom fields).

Who may open it

Under Settings → Teams, access per module is granted to a team or a person: view or edit. A row naming a person beats a team row, so joining a team cannot silently revoke what they were given by name. Owners and admins always see everything.

Every stage change writes history — a drag on the board, the form, an automation and the MCP tool all go through one function. The reports read from it.
